Updated Beauty Routine

Last summer, I basically stopped wearing eye makeup because I hate the feeling of mascara and eyeshadow when I’m sweaty. Since then, I still haven’t worn much in the way of makeup. I got used to it and I like that because I like liking my face as it is.

Here’s my current beauty routine!

Skincare

Serum & Moisturizer

I use an AM and PM serum and a moisturizer, personalized by Revea. I have written about Revea before, and still love it. It’s fun, simple, and effective.

SPF

Anyone with skin should use sunscreen, but I definitely need to be especially sure to because I burn so easily. I use Paula’s Choice Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid. This sunscreen is light - the formula is very watery - but moisturizing, and I love that it’s SPF 50.

Face

BB Cream

Dr. Jart’s Premium BB Tinted Moisturizer has been my favorite for the last 8 years. I think it was recently reformulated, as now it says that it’s with niacinimide and the bottle is different. I love that it’s very subtle, and that the finish is natural. I use the shade Fair-Light.

Concealer/Foundation

My concealer/foundation product is The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick from Merit Beauty. I stripe this on my cheeks, and sometimes my nose and chin, for a little more coverage. I blend it with the Merit brush. Works well, the shade is good for me, and it blends perfectly into my BB cream.

Other

Brow Gel

Combing my brows helps me feel a little more put together. It works better than just brushing my brows, and I can’t feel it throughout the day. I use Benefit’s Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in 4.5. I’m not sure if this product even really adds any color, or much hold, but I like it.

Lip Balm

There are a bunch of different balms and chapsticks floating around my house, but my favorite is probably the Luxury Lip Balm from Henne. It’s so effective without being heavy, and is a good base for lipstick. I get mine from Grove, since I have a subscription for household products and some other things.

Then I pick a lipstick that goes with my look! I’ve shared a bunch of my favorites in these three posts. I might do an updated post just about lipstick sometime.
