Step One: Your Free Assessment

Schedule your free assessment, followed by your wardrobe therapy appointment.

Your assessment (over the phone or via web-call) will be a conversation and a questionnaire to help me assess your needs and preferences.

This enables me to make sure my services are a good fit for your needs, and come up with an appropriate game plan before your appointment.

Step Two: Before Your Appointment

Please make sure your clothes are as ready and accessible as possible. (By this I mean, laundry recently done and dry cleaning picked up so none of your clothes miss out on the process.)

If there’s anything you think of after your assessment (ideas, goals, problems, questions, specific issues or pieces you want to focus on), please email it to me ASAP! Anything I can do to better prepare for your appointment helps me to help you.

Step Three, Option One: Your Virtual Wardrobe Therapy Appointment

We’ll go over the plan I have for your closet, and get started!

  • Sort any clothes you pick out for consideration,

  • Discuss styling outfits and tricks,

  • Go over ideas for optimizing your closet organization, and

  • Make a shopping plan for the future.

Step Three, Option Two: Your In-Home Wardrobe Therapy Appointment

If there was a virtual appointment, we go over the results. Then we:

  • Sort as necessary,

  • Style pieces and outfits,

  • Organize your closet, and

  • Finalize your shopping plan.

Everyone has different needs, so the amount of time spent on each element will depend on you and your closet.

Step Four: After Your Appointment

You will receive notes from our session(s), access to Your Wardrobe Therapy guides, and a month of sartorial support (where you can ask me questions and get my opinion via text or email).

Testimonials

“I was so happy when Mary came to my rescue! My closet was overflowing with items I was tired of and wanted an update. Being in my 40’s also added a challenge for me because I wanted to dress to my body shape, and I didnt feel I had a true style. I also wanted to dress appropriately. Not teenager, but not “old” either. We looked at every item I had and kept so many pieces! We also shopped for core items and accents to update my current wardrobe. It was fun, and I use what I learned from Mary in both my office and casual attire! Thank you Mary!”

“From the moment Mary Clark walked through the door with her hanging rack- I knew I was going to learn valuable organization skills. The process started with a consultation that allowed her to come up with a game plan for my specific needs. After undergoing a recent move, I was having difficulty understanding and maximizing my new closet space. Her unbiased opinion and knowledge truly guided me, and I was able to make decisions on items that I had been harboring for years too long. Piece by piece we dissected my closet and went over fabric care and when to recognize if you should fold or hang the item. Not only did we achieve the perfect solution for my new space but she taught me valuable insights such as folding techniques, shopping strategies, and styling tips. The process took about two hours, however, I learned a lifetime worth of organizational skills that are still put into practice today. Thank you Mary, I couldn’t recommend your services enough!”

“My closet is no longer overflowing with clothes I never wear! Mary has helped me not only sort through my wardrobe, but she also educated me on the best way to hang and fold different clothing fabrics to prevent unwanted stretching or fabric damage. Mary also helped me go through my clothes and organize everything by season. This was never something I did and it really helped free up a ton of space in my very cluttered closest.

We started the session with discussing my goals for the visit, how much storage space I have for my clothes, and styles/colors I am drawn to or interested in. She came with her own hanging rack and we began taking all my clothes from my closest out, and then, one by one, went through each article of clothing; deciding if I loved it and wanted to keep it and then which season it is appropriate for. Along the way, if I got hung up on a shirt that I was not sure about, she had me try it on and she would help me decide if it was flattering on me and if it was a good article to keep. She took notes the entire time on things we discussed and things we will work on next visit (i.e. continuing to go through clothes in drawers and working on planning and putting together outfits).

Mary was so helpful and I really enjoyed her assistance and will continue to have her help me get and stay organized. Going through, purging, and organizing your own belongings is so difficult, and having someone with a well thought out plan really helps the process go smoothly.”
