Outfits of the Week: January 4-10
Monday January 4
Sweater - bp
Cardigan - moth
Cords - J. Crew
Booties - Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn
I’m just feeling colorful lately I suppose! I think I’m being influenced by a couple of my favorite Instagram accounts (@studiodiy and @jeffmindell), and watching Paddington 1 and 2 with my son. The earrings and bracelet are two of my favorites, though I wear the latter more than the former (a divestment from my mother).
Tuesday January 5
Sweater - Pilcro
Maxi skirt - current air
Scarf - Anthro
Sneaks - Keds
I got dressed for dinner and decided to keep the bright and colorful theme going because why not? I also have this skirt in bronze (which I got in October of 2019), and both I managed to snag on super sale. I liked the scarf as the belt for a simpler look, and with a bright belt for more color and a warmer look. My neon frog socks are somewhat visible through the skirt. I added a neon shadow and eyeliner combo because it felt very fun, and I really enjoyed it.
Wednesday January 6
Sweater - AE
Pants - J. Crew
Sneaks - allblack
Scarf - gift
Bright pink, orange, and red don’t always work together, but it helps when you have a print with those colors in it. Flamingo purses are optional but encouraged.
Thursday January 7
Turtleneck - Banana Republic
Pants - Banana Republic
Flats - Rothy’s
Scarf - Anthro
I like the way this scarf plays with the black and white texture of the pants. I played around with bright eyeshadow again, and it worked pretty well.
Friday January 8
Sweater - Pilcro
Pants - Target
Flats - Rothy’s
Scarf - gift
Belt - vintage
This outfit doesn’t come across as nearly as colorful as some of my other looks from this week. It’s very colorful, but more subtle about it.
Saturday January 9
Sweater - American Eagle
Jeans - Target
Scarf - gift
I spent quite a bit of time assembling a LEGO Hogwarts castle, so it seemed fitting to wear my Hedwig scarf.
Sunday January 10
Blouse - Little Journeys
Jeans - Madewell
Flats - Rothy’s
This outfit was the darkest I wore all week, but still had a lot of color. I just love all of the colors in the blouse, especially with some of my favorite pearl jewelry. I usually wear it with grey on the bottom for more contrast, but blue jeans work great as well.
