Festive Outfit Inspiration

Tis the season for festive outfits, no matter what you’re celebrating and how! There are so many colors and textures that feel seasonal, so there’s no one way to dress up.

You can take inspiration from these outfits quite literally and try to recreate them, or just go with similar color schemes, proportions, or mix and match these kinds of pieces together to create your own looks. Have fun with it!

To feel Christmassy, I love the classic green and red, and mix in pink and yellow too. Plaids, stripes, and fair isle feel very wintery so they also work very well for Christmas looks. Bow earrings, a string light necklace, or red lipstick can make any outfit feel that much more festive.

When celebrating the new year, metallics and neutrals rule the day. To mix it up, it’s fun to mix metals and wear light neutrals too. Sequins, leather, and other shiny fabrics or details work especially well with metals. Keep it simple by wearing all black and adding gold and/or silver jewelry.

Here are some recent looks of mine that are somewhat festive, too! For even more festive outfit inspiration, check out this post and this post from last year.

Check back Friday for my picks that might be delivered before Christmas, or you could keep handy for next year!
