Spring technically has another month, but after this weekend, it feels like summer is here with a vengeance! I love seeing what trends I unconsciously followed in a season, so let’s check that out now.

Yellow!

So fun to see my favorite color pop up so much. I love yellow with other colors (especially blue and green), or popped against neutrals.

I especially utilized my yellow sweater that I got ~on sale for my birthday~, and I also got a yellow crop tank (last outfit) that I am sure will be a summer staple.

Purple!

Purple was my favorite color for most of my childhood, but I rarely buy or wear it as an adult. Until now! It has been fun to rediscover this color, see where it already was in my closet, and what pieces I was drawn to.

Some of my favorite pieces in my closet have purple, like the maxi dress (first photo) and the floral wide leg pants. Newer additions are my purple sweaters, which I have had a lot of fun styling and wearing.

Cream, Tan, Camel

I don’t know exactly what it is about these outfits, but I just find them so fun! There are so many more in my head too, I think I need to do a post about them.

My tan and ecru Zara pants have been so fun and versatile. I want to wear them all the time!

Skirts & Dresses

It was a winter goal to wear skirts and dresses more, and while it wasn’t officially something I wanted to do in spring as well, it continued!

I was especially pleased that there are very few repeats, so I was really getting into my closet to wear different pieces.

Best Purchases

H&M sweaters: What a find, been wearing these all season endlessly, review here! 5 colors worn 23 times total.
Gap trench: Love the oversized fit! Worn 6 times, which doesn’t seem like that many, but I know this is a piece that will get a lot of wear.
Target sandals: Solid find, review here! 4 colors worn 29 times so far.

Shopping List

White jeans: What can I say, I’m picky about white denim!
Blue denim jacket: I’ve been browsing Poshmark for Pilcro styles. I’d like a medium wash that would go with my favorite jeans, but maybe I should try something lighter. My priority is that the fabric is comfortable and the fit is good, but color is important too.
Black booties: I found a pair at Thursday Boot Company that look great, but are still out of stock. I signed up for the waitlist, but now I don’t think I see them on the website. Not a good sign!
Silver shoes: I love my silver sneaks, so I think I’d wear silver sandals a lot in the summer. I found a pair of silver sporty sandals that might be fun for a v casual look.
Green sweater: I have my eyes on a few green sweaters, which I don’t *need*, but I would enjoy.
Orange shoes: Still looking! Luckily I have my red sandals to get me through.
Sandals: Check! I have bought five pairs of sandals this season, and while I still need a pair or two to round out the collection, I am in better shape than I was at the end of the summer.
Pants: In colors! I really want a blue pair, would love a brighter green option, and maybe an orange or pink. It’s a trend and I like it, so I might as well look now while the getting is good!
Boiler suit/jumpsuit: Would love to try the jumpsuits from Big Bud Press.
Floral suit: I love a suit to mix and match, and a lovely floral would be so fun.
