October is quite possibly my favorite month. The weather is usually a mix of warm and brisk, which we definitely experienced this year. Autumnal colors are gorgeous. And October has both Halloween and my anniversary, which make me think of spooky and romantic things all the time. This October was as atypical as the last seven months, but it was still a good month. I’m sorry to see it go.

There were four weeks of outfits, for a total of 25 outfits! The way the weeks and months work together to chop up what outfits are posted when does strike me as funny.

I shared some ideas for what to do with clothes that don’t fit. I’ve made more notes since writing that post, so I think I’ll add a follow-up in the new year.

In true Halloween style, I shared costume ideas from my closet. I definitely need to get a witch hat, and a few other pieces that will really open up the costume possibilities for next year.

We know I love to layer, so I posted some tips and outfit inspo for dressing during transitional weather.

I’m planning my blog posts (I actually try to have 6-12 months planned out, though it can change), so I asked all of you for any questions, suggestions, and ideas.

For the season that we’re in, here are my picks for pieces that layer well.

October 1: this outfit is so simple, but so cute and comfortable. The headband made it more fun.
October 8: very pleased with how these pants turned out (as a recent purchase), and this combination was warm yet light.
October 12: I didn’t expect to love this look so much, but I really, really did.
October 14: these pieces are some of my favorites, and the combination is too.
October 21: this was a look from the transitional dressing post, and I really liked it! It may make an appearance, if I can make up an occasion for wearing a leather skirt anytime soon.
October 22: I felt really pretty in this outfit. Good vibes all day.
