Outfits of the Week: March 30 - April 5

Monday March 30

  • Yellow turtleneck - Banana Republic

  • Pencil skirt - Abbeline

  • Jean jacket - Pilcro

  • Heels - Jeffrey Campbell

Last week, I went through my closet, and this week, I wanted to make more of an effort to get dressed for fun! When I pulled this skirt out of storage, I immediately wanted to pair it with this turtleneck. I love the look of the white jean jacket with the turtleneck peaking out. To be honest, the heels didn’t stay on for long (switched to black flats), but I love these to elongate the legs.

Tuesday March 31

  • Printed tee - citron

  • Olive pants - jessy b

  • Heels - ferragamo

  • Belt - madewell

I’m thinking of this week as “dressing for dinner.” I wanted to feel casual and cool for dinner today, so I wore this combination that I came up with after I bought these pants. I like the mix of colors and the feel of the pants. This kind of outfit makes me feel cool

Wednesday April 1

  • Blue sweater - Banana Republic

  • Blue dress - Tory Burch

  • White booties - Target

  • Wrap belt - ada belts

This is another something old (the dress has been in my closet for almost ten years, and just came out of storage), something new (the sweater), and I guess they’re both something blue! Ha ha ha. An outfit like this is a lot of look, but it’s fun and we’re in quarantine so it’s a good time to give it a try! A jersey dress like this is comfortable for a lazy day, and can be layered with tights or long socks for warmth.

Thursday April 2

  • Cashmere sweater - Ralph Lauren

  • Grey cords - J. Crew

  • Pollack scarf - MoMA

  • Black flats - Rothy’s

  • Loop belt - madewell

This outfit is casual but chic on a regular day, but quite dressed up for quarantine. What matters is that the sweater is warm, the pants are comfortable, the scarf is fun, and the shoes are easy. It’s nice to feel pulled together and ready to lounge at the same time.

Friday April 3

  • Yellow sweater - bp

  • Maxi skirt - Veronica M

  • Booties - Kelsi dagger Brooklyn

We had a pizza and movie night to watch Onward, and this skirt felt a little magical while still being comfortable after eating a lot of pizza.

Saturday April 4

  • Harajuku shirt - gift

  • Black pants - J. Crew

  • White bomber - hei-hei

  • Floral sneaks - allblack

My brother got me this tee 13 years ago in Tokyo, and actually got me another one as well that now fits my son! So when he picked his out to wear today, I couldn’t resist matching him.

Sunday April 5

  • Black crop tee - Target

  • Polka dot skirt - Anthro

  • Sneaks - converse

  • Jean jacket - pilcro

I’ve been waiting for weather warm enough to wear this combination again. Fun, casual, some color, polka dots. It doesn’t get much better! I also wear many slight variations of this combination because I love it so much.
