Friday Finds: Sneaks

Or sneakers, trainers, tennis shoes, or whatever else you may call them! Slip on or tied, sneaks are some of my most-worn shoes and some of my favorite foundations for outfits. They’re comfortable and cool, and can be basic or very bold.

Here are some fun options that I found.

  • Ace Leather sneaker, Keds - If you’ve read almost any post I’ve done since purchasing these shoes (so the past few months?), I love them. They’re very comfortable, a flattering fit, and basically perfect. They sometimes squeak a little, not gonna lie, but it isn’t enough to bother me.

  • Coaster sneaker, Gola - I have a different pair of sneakers from Gola, and they have a very comfortable insole. I’d advise that they seem to run a bit big. I like that this pair has three different textures and shades of white, which makes it a versatile neutral sneaker.

  • Polka Dot V-10, Madewell x Veja - I. Love these shoes. I really do. If you don’t already know this about Veja sneakers, the tongue is very rough and can really be uncomfortable, and that is true of these. I pull them entirely to the side which forces them to bend against the foot, and there’s no problem.

  • Neon sneakers, Keds - Classic design in two beautiful bright colors. I’m partial to the yellow, myself, but I know my son would love the pink. A bright sneaker is an easy way to punch up an otherwise neutral/basic outfit.

  • Sidewalk slip-on, Madewell - I love this splattered version of a basic slip-on. There are a lot of nice colors in it (orange, yellow, blue, pink), so they would look great with a lot. I really see them with blue jeans and a colorful shirt.

  • Champion Wildflower Embroidered, Keds - These are some of the newer offerings from the ongoing Rifle Paper Co collab with Keds. I love that these flowers are embroidered instead of printed. The texture makes them stand out more. So gorgeous. The colors really pop against the black background.

  • Double Decker Wildflower Embroidered, Keds - Same embroidered flowers as above, on a light background and a slip-on shoe. This shoe feels more summer/spring appropriate.

  • Vintage Floral chuck, Converse - So these last are the same print in two rises. I think both are great, with wonderful color choices. And I am generally partial to low-tops.

  • Vintage Floral hi-top, Converse - From the pictures, it looks like the background of the hi-top is white/ecru, while the low-top is pink. I don’t wear hi-tops like I used to, but these might bring me back.

Do you wear sneakers, a lot or a little? What are some of your favorite brands? I’m not saying I need more enabling, it would be strictly for research purposes.
