Outfits of the Week: February 23 - March 1

Monday February 24

  • Yellow turtleneck - Banana Republic

  • Black leggings - Target

  • Avocado socks

This week, I may or may not have coordinated with most of my son’s outfits. Today, he wore black pants and a black Batman tee. I went for comfy cozy.

Tuesday February 25

  • Yellow sweater - bp

  • Polka dot pants - Anthropologie

  • Yellow flats - Rothy’s

I wasn’t sure what to wear for this drizzly day, and Rooney was wearing a yellow construction tee and black pants. So I slightly reconfigured a previous outfit with different polka dot pants.

Wednesday February 26

  • Yellow turtleneck - Banana Republic

  • Blue jeans - madewell

  • Flax flats - Rothy’s

  • Scarf - gift

I wanted to center this look around the scarf. This is one of my favorite color palettes. Plus, I was very warm without being too hot. No coordinating today, though.

Thursday February 27

  • Grey sweater - Zara

  • Pink cords - J. Crew

  • Striped scarf - gift

  • Striped socks - Target

  • Oxfords - Fluevog

I love the colors and texture of this scarf. The theme overall was actually stripes: the cords and sweater are both ribbed, and the scarf and socks are obviously striped. Rooney wore bright pink pants, a black tee with a space shirt, and matching socks!

Friday February 28

  • Cream sweater - Ralph Lauren

  • Paisley silk pants - J. Crew

  • Yellow flats - Rothy’s

  • Yellow belt - vintage

We went to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner, so I wanted to be a little dressy but still comfortable. These pants are some of my favorites because of the beautiful colors and print, and they feel good. I hadn’t paired them with this sweater before, but I liked it tucked in. I usually do one of my wider wrap belts, but I liked the more casual look of the braided belt.

Saturday February 29

  • White top - Target

  • Grey sweats - Target

  • Yellow jacket - Nike

  • Sneaks - Nike

  • Bobble hat - belle boutique

We had a cozy home day, so I stayed cozy and homey! My favorite way to make a very casual look that I (honestly) wouldn’t usually wear out is to have a clean color scheme. This particular outfit is based off of the shoes. The look isn’t dressy by any means, but it is coordinated and feels intentional, as well as still being pieces that fit nicely (aren’t too tight or dumpy).

Sunday March 1

  • Blue sweater - Banana Republic

  • Black pants - J. Crew

  • White booties - Target

Until I can switch it up with white pants and skirts with bare legs in warm weather, I think I like this sweater styled simply with black pants.
