Outfits of the Week: January 1-8

Saturday January 1

  • Sweater - Pilcro

  • Pants - Anthropologie

  • Socks - Bombas

  • Sneaks - Cold Haan

Happy new year! I felt like being a little funky. The name necklace was a Christmas gift (thanks DPG!), and my son has a matching one! I hadn’t worn these pants in a while and forgot how comfortable they are. Black and white prints go so well with solid colors.

Sunday January 2

  • Sweater - Pilcro

  • Cords - J. Crew

  • Socks - Bombas

  • Booties - Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn

  • Scarf - Gift

It was a surprisingly nice day, so I was able to get away without a coat for the most part. I love wearing yellow.

Wednesday January 5

  • Sweater - Target

  • Jeans - Madewell

  • Slippers - Anthro

  • Scarf - museum

  • Socks - Bombas

This scarf is from a very cool art exhibit called Filthy Lucre. I loved the exhibit and I love the colors in the scarf, but it’s been a little difficult to wear. However, enter this relatively new sweater, and it’s perfect. Of course I coordinated my socks!

Thursday January 6

  • Sweater - Pilcro

  • Pants - Zara

  • Boots - Fluevog

  • Scarf - Anthro

I’m pretty sure I got these boots in college, which means I’ve had them for over ten years. No wonder I need to replace the laces soon! These pants call back to the subtle green in the scarf. The orange sweater and red lipstick go with the more obvious colors in the scarf, which helps keep them from clashing with each other. My son asked why I was so dressed up, which was a sign that I’ve spent a lot of time in pajamas lately!

Friday January 7

  • Sweater - Pilcro

  • Tee - Target

  • Leggings - Aerie

This was my outfit for going to the gym and get a pedicure on a snow day. I switched between snow boots and flip flops for practical reasons, and didn’t pick any to go with my outfit. I also met a reader (hi Candy!)! That really made my day.

Saturday January 8

  • Turtleneck - J. Crew

  • Cardigan - Target

  • Cords - J. Crew

  • Boots - Target

  • Scarf - Kate Spade

This outfit (especially the striped turtleneck with polka dot cardigan) reminds me of how I dressed in high school. To me, it’s a fun combination! I think it says I’m intentional with how I dress, but I have fun with it and try not to take it/myself too seriously.
