Friday Finds: Summer Trends
On Wednesday, I wrote about some trends for this season, as well as my own shopping list. Here are my top picks to follow some of those trends, and my top considerations for my own shopping.
Sandals
The Ilana Slide Sandal in Colorblock Leather: I love this color palette, and the simple design.
The Brigitte Lace-Up Sandal in Metallic Leather: A strappy sandal in silver could be really fun!

The Marta Whipstitch Sandal: Love this for a dress-up-or-down summer sandal.
Smocking
Aerie Jungle Thrills Smocked Tank Top: This print is cute, and the solid options are nice too.
Smocked Pull-On Mini Skirt: Smocked waists make it easy for the fit to be in the right place.
Skirt: This print is so cute! It comes in solids as well.
Smock-detail Dress: A perfect summer dress. There are similar options available at many retailers, and in many colors.
Printed Shorts
Tie-belt Shorts: There’s just something about citrus! Cute with a linen shirt or over a one piece.
Printed High Waisted Shorts: This retro floral is also on trend right now. Go simple with a black tank, or bold with a polka dot blouse.
Printed High Waisted Shorts: This print is slightly more subtle, but still very cute. I’d wear with a white tee and pink jacket, or a neutral chunky sweater.
Printed Shorts: I can’t tell if these would look too athletic to wear as regular shorts, but they could work both ways!
White Denim
Curvy High-Rise Denim Shorts in Tile White: I definitely need a new pair of white shorts!
Curvy High-Rise Skinny Jeans in Pure White: Will these be the white jeans that finally make my wardrobe?

Chambray & Linen Shirts
The Linen Workwear Shirt: Love a linen shirt for summer. Works with almost everything.
Relaxed-fit short-sleeve Baird McNutt Irish linen shirt: This cut and the color options are great too.
Classic-fit short-sleeve chambray shirt: This chambray option is a really great blue, and short sleeve is so handy!
Relaxed-fit chambray shirt: I want a looser, blousier look for a chambray shirt, so I don’t want a slim fit. That way it breathes better when it’s really hot!
