Styled: Statement Skirt
When new clothes come into my life, they go through a styling session to make sure they’re worth the closet space (and because it’s how I have fun). If I can’t come up with many outfits or the few I find don’t spark joy, it gets returned.
When the skirt is the statement, the strategy is to try it with tops that bring out the more subtle colors in the print.
I switched around adding a belt, tucking or tying tops for varying levels of interest, contrast, and waist definition. Jewelry and shoe options also make a difference with how dressy or casual an outfit looks.
With a cami
Classic, easy, lovely.
With a blouse
A little bit dressy or a little bit casual, depending on the styling.
With a sweater
Generally more casual, especially with booties, and also makes the skirt work for cooler weather.
