For the last day of what felt like the longest summer of our lives (before school started), I kept it very simple. I forgot how much I like simple tops in this kind of cut. It took me many years to be comfortable in an outfit like this, and it feels very good to feel that way.

Tuesday September 8

For the first day of school, I went with a favorite fun combination.

Wednesday September 9

Star Wars tee
Blue jeans - Madewell
Jacket - firefly stand
Sneaks - Converse

My husband wore a Star Wars tee, so I wore a Star Wars tee, so my son wore a Star Wars tee. I got mine some months ago, but I think I saw it at Target recently! I picked up the jacket at a vender at the Firefly Music Festival last summer, though I don’t remember the name. Izzy makes a reappearance too! My cats frequently pop around outside of the frame, but I try not to pressure them.

Thursday September 10

Peplum blouse - Target
Leggings - Target
Belt - Ada Collection
Yellow flats - Rothy’s

I felt like being a little more put-together while being comfortable, so a proper peplum blouse over leggings worked very well. Unfortunately, I discovered a hole in the leggings, so I won’t be wearing them again.

Friday September 11

Black flats - Rothy’s

I love being able to comfortably wear jackets! I’ve had this combination bouncing around my noodle for a while, so it was fun to finally wear it. It feels very French to me, which I love.

Saturday September 12

Striped dress - Marine Layer
Red sandals - J. Crew
Yellow denim jacket - Pilcro
Floral scarf - Anthropologie

I’d wanted to wear this outfit recently, but it was just too warm until today. I love the use of black and white patterns to balance the brights.

Sunday September 13

Black tank - Groceries
Cardigan - Target
Blue jeans - Madewell
Yellow denim jacket - Pilcro
Black flats - Rothy’s

This outfit went through a lot of permutations! Just the cardigan, just the denim jacket, switched to denim shorts. It was necessary for a day that ranged from cool in the morning and evening, and quite warm in the afternoon. I think I have such a layering post planned for October!
