Friday Finds: Aritzia

Aritzia! Another brand I know of, but have never ordered from. They have a few house labels, as well as carrying some other brands. They generally offer quality basics that definitely have trend awareness. Going through their current offerings, I am definitely reminded that everything ‘90s and early ‘00s is now again. Some of their prices feel high, but you get what you pay for. This is the kind of brand that you invest in for pieces you’ll wear beyond this season, not just pick up for the next few months.

I’ll admit, I am definitely tempted by a lot of these pieces, particularly the jackets in the third section.

Tops

  1. Everyday T-Shirt: Basic crew-neck, short-sleeve, slightly cropped tee. Comes in lots of colors, I like the scarab (shown).

  2. Sculpt Knit Tank: This looks like the kind of knit that is both contouring and conforming, which should make it comfortable yet flattering. I like that it’s not a racerback (unusual in a tank), and that it comes in a lot of colors. I’ll admit, I dig the all-red look. There’s also a long version, though the color selection is (currently) not the same.

  3. Honor Tank: A classic crew-neck and racerback tank.

  4. Everly Camisole: We know I love a camisole! I believe that Aritzia carries this piece year round and updates the color selection.

  5. Sleeveless Power Blouse: A basic drapey tank, in many colors.

  6. Relaxed Button-Up: I’ll admit, the classic navy is what caught my attention first because it looked like that vibrant dark blue that I love. On the model. In the product picture, it looked more like a dark/flat navy, which I’m not interested in personally. But then all of the colors looked different on the model versus off.

Bottoms

  1. Slip Skirt: Love an easy slip skirt. These are all very shiny, which makes them work really well with different textures in tonal colors.

  2. New Knit Slit Skirt: A classic silhouette in a more casual material, this looks great with anything from a tee to a blouse to a slouchy knit. Also works well with a lightweight top and sandals while transitioning to cool weather, or with the aforementioned slouchy knit, over-the-knee boots and a coat.

  3. Sarong Skirt: Basically a pencil skirt in wrap form.

  4. Dexter Pant: Pull-on, ankle-length, can be dressed down or up.

  5. Dashwood Pant: High waist, pleats, nice drape. Love the neutral colors.

  6. Jotham Pant: Slim pant with slits at the front of the ankle. Looks really cool with pointy shoes.

Other

  1. Barossa Dress: Mini dress with tiered layers in a lovely neutral print. Wear with heels/flats to lengthen the leg, or over-the-knee boots and a trench for cooler weather.

  2. Elba Dress: The same print as above, in a long and pleated dress. Easy on its own, and could work with a belt, jacket, sweater, etc.

  3. Little Cropped Jacket: The style is like a denim or trucker jacket, but the material looks more dressy. Would be unusual worn as a suit jacket, also great with any high-rise bottom. Comes in a lot of colors too!

  4. Power Short Blazer: Even though 99% of the time I push my cuffs up, I don’t love jackets that come like that. However, the crop and lapel of this jacket are great, as are the colors it comes in.

  5. La Paz Blazer: Cropped blazer to go with high-rise trousers? Please and thank you.

  6. Watercolour Linen Scarf: We’re getting back into scarf season (aka any time that’s not full summer) and this one is lovely. Both options are versatile, though I admit I prefer frappe cream (pictured). This scarf would punch up a neutral look, or look cool with other brights. Imagine how the green would pop when paired with all pink!
