Roundup: June 2022
It’s been a strange month! I spent the first half of the month frantically packing and prepping for our summer away from home. Since we’ve been at the beach, it has been quite cold for mid-late June! However, I enjoy any opportunity to wear a sweater or a layer, and I will try to remember these days fondly when I am inevitably melting my face off.
My goal this month was to really set myself up personally and professionally to enjoy the next three months, and so far it’s paid off! I also want to spend the summer enjoying and vetting my warm weather clothes. That has meant more than one outfit a day some days, which I love!
I’m still figuring out the photo setup for the summer. The new background works, but the lighting is not the best. But it’s just a single overhead light, so I’m not surprised! I ordered a ring light, so hopefully that will result in photos that are better lit, more crisp, and have more accurate colors.
The summer intro post features a roundup of some seasonal trends, as well as my shopping list.
I focused in on one particular summer trend for a featured post.
Because of our summer away from home, I had to handle my clothes differently. This post is about my plan!
I went through my outfit posts (and there are hundreds - woah!) for everything I’ve worn that is a hand-me-down from my mom!
Sandals are my favorite shoes for summer, and any time that it’s above freezing, so it felt appropriate to feature my sandal collection.
I shared four finds posts: summer pieces, my picks from this month’s Target collection, summer finds from Aerie and American Eagle, and summer dresses!
I shared a new set of before and after pictures from a Wardrobe Therapy session!
And the testimonial from said session!
I posted a roundup of the various Your Wardrobe Therapy posts I’ve written so far this year!
I reviewed three dresses this month: two from Target, and one from Son de Flor.
I posed a question (what is flattering?) and shared an answer.
I shared a tip for belting dresses!
June 8: I wore this dress for the 10 year anniversary of the day I met my husband as an approximation of what I wore that day. What can I say, I’m a romantic!
June 9: This blouse (one of my faves!) looks so good with these light neutral pieces.
June 13: This dress is so lovely and comfortable!
June 14: It was so fun to start our official summer “vacation” with this beautiful dress, my favorite jacket, and cute sneaks!
June 16: This casual combo is so simple (sweatshirt, jeans, sneaks), but the color palette is so lovely and the proportions are flattering, so it looks elevated.
June 21: I love this outfit! It was so fun to wear, felt so glamorous, and the earrings are incredible.
June 22: An outfit so nice…
June 23: … I wore it twice!
June 24: I loved wearing both variations of this outfit! Perfect way to transition from a chilly morning to a warm afternoon.
