We had a lovely day outside, so I wanted to have layers for warmth but that I could shed if I needed too. And I’ll tell you, the scarf and coat were nice when the breeze picked up! I love how the scarf tones with this sweater. A square scarf can look totally different if you put a different part of it in the front. I felt really good in this outfit.

I can wear simple outfits sometimes! This dress is so comfortable, what a great find from the Nordstrom sale. I think I’ll do a post where I style it different ways.

I was feeling extra casual, so I went with this neutral athleisure look. Fine to be seen in, and comfortable for a daytime movie.

Wednesday October 20

I returned to Longwood Gardens and I have to admit that this was not the best outfit for it. The boots are very comfortable, but my feet were more tired than I’d like by the time we went home. I also ended up a bit warm, and with no more layers to take off! Ah well. I know better for next time. I still like the color combination though!

This winter whites outfit surprised me for a few reasons. One, I don’t often do monochromatic, but it was quite fun! No wonder it’s so popular right now. Two, low rise jeans?! Who am I? I think it didn’t bother me as much because of the length of the sweater (not too cropped), and the pants are really comfortable and fit perfectly. I don’t think I’ll add more low rise to my wardrobe, but I’ve loved this pair for eight years so it was great to feel more confident in them.
