Skincare Update
My skincare and makeup routines haven’t changed very much since my last posts about them, but there have been a few new products! Read on to see what is new to my face parts.
Lip Scrub in Pink Lemonade, Liv & AJ
My friend Alysha (who has been on the blog before!) has her own brand and company (among other things; she is on another level). Alysha makes her own products including this lip scrub!
I scrub a little bit over my lips and rinse it off in the shower, and apply my favorite Henne lip balm when I’m out.
I try to use it about once a week, and more often my lips feel like they really need it (like after wearing my favorite black liquid lip).
Started using after I got a sample (a good-sized sample too, almost half a bar) with a store pickup order to Lush a few months ago
I originally tried this product about 8 years ago, and it didn’t work for me then
My skin is different now, and I think I’m using more properly, and it’s been great
Another friend, Kana, started her own skincare brand, and sent me samples of their moisturizers!
No. 33 was my favorite. It’s very thick and hydrating, but doesn’t feel too heavy on my skin or leave me feeling oily throughout the day or the following morning.
It works really well over the lush serum, though Revea is coming out with serums soon and I am excited to try them!
The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick in Bone (and Buffing Brush), Merit Beauty (also available at Sephora!)
Saw this in a YouTube video (this one!) and it sounded right up my street.
Usually I’m disappointed by new skin tint type products because they’re not the right color, coverage, or consistency, but this checks all of those boxes!
The brush might not be necessary if you already have something like it, but I didn’t! It’s quite soft and blends this product wonderfully.
I use this on redness or anywhere else I want a little extra something on top of the BB cream I use.
My friends are incredible and these products have been great.
