Outfits of the Week: June 8-13

Tuesday June 8

  • Dress - Target

  • Flips - Havaiana’s

I love an easy, fun dress with flip flops for an exceedingly hot day. A good slip dress especially because they are flattering but not hot!

Wednesday June 9

  • Dress - Target

  • Shoes - Rothy’s

  • Purse - Cambridge Satchel Co

My son asked why my dress was so pretty, which I thought was an interesting question. I said, it’s so pretty to me because I love the colors, the floral print, the pleats on the skirt, the movement. Any of those could be reason enough, but more than one presenting in such an unusual way in one piece is relatively infrequent. I really enjoyed wearing this dress. And I did a cool thing with the sleeves! Check out my IGTV video here for the trick.

Friday June 11

  • Sweater - Pilcro

  • Skirt - Target

  • Belt - Ada Collection

  • Sneaks - Keds

  • Slicker - Target

A rainy day was sweet relief from the heat. I picked the rain slicker first, because it’s fun and I love it. Then I decided on the sweater and skirt because the colors match so well. The belt tones nicely with the slicker, and breaks up the similar-but-different top and bottom. The sneakers are pretty neutral, but still fun, and the floral calls back to the slicker.

Saturday June 12

  • Cami - Target

  • Jeans - Madewell

  • Scarf - Longwood

  • Trench - Marine Layer

I was expecting it to be cooler than it actually was, so my scarf and trench were quickly shed for the day. It’s frustrating when that happens because I would’ve worn something else, but oh well!

Sunday June 13

  • Sweatshirt - J. Crew

  • Shorts - Old Navy

  • Sneaks - Keds

It was a busy day of getting ready for a week at the beach! The temperature was warm enough for shorts, but cool and breezy enough that a light sweatshirt was comfortable. This one is so fun and fancy, yet very casual.
