Natural Colors

Cream, sand, buff, tan, camel, and any other similar shades. Especially in a head-to-toe look! Also paired with a pop of color - try a bag, shoes, layer, or mask!

I have loved my natural pieces recently (like my honey sweater, camel trench, and beige pleated skirts) so I’m going to keep my eye out for pants too, but I’m not as sure that suits me.

All Bright

Think a suit, coordinated set (like, say, loungewear), or other monochromatic look. An outfit like this can also be broken up and paired with other colors and prints for more looks.

I love brights (is it obvious?) so I’d try this out. I’m especially looking for pants or skirts in blue, yellow, and pink.

Puffy Silhouettes

Puffy sleeves and slouchy shapes, most commonly found in blouses, sweaters, and boots.

I definitely love a slouchy sweater so I think I’m all good on that front. I also love a slouched ankle on a boot, and would add one to my closet if I found the right pair.

Long Coats

Trenches, top coats, puffers, anything long. And especially yellow! I saw specifically that “yellow maxi coats” are “in” and while I don’t usually follow trends that exactly, this one sounds perfect for me. I love this because longer coats are just practical for the winter because the length helps to protect your legs from the cold and wind.

How can I resist a long yellow coat? Now I just need to find one.

Last Winter’s Shopping List

What I got

Under layers: super check! I wish I’d bought them sooner.

Cashmere sweaters: triple check! I got the Pilcro sweaters which I am in love with.

What I need

Berets and cloches: My black beret might be enough.

Light/neutral puffer and vest: I’m still somewhat interested. I need to order some vests and try them with my outfits. Or just get one for wearing around the house. 

Tights: Still deliberating between Heist, Sheertex, and Snag. Should I do a comparison?

Wool socks: I have a feeling I’ll be stocking up on these for the whole family this holiday season. I can’t resist literal stocking stuffers. 

Winter boots: I’m thinking of a pair from Native Shoes. Or maybe Sorel. I have a pair that function for now, so I can find a pair that really strike my fancy.

Black ankle boots: I’m looking at a few, so I might do a comparison post.

Sweaters: Yes, more. I’m looking for sweaters in sage and olive green. And possibly neon yellow and pink.
