Roundup: March 2020

This year, March came in like a lion and stayed that way. It’s funny that everything feels so different from a few weeks ago, but that happens (though hopefully not quite like this again for the rest of my lifetime). I wore many fun outfits, posted about the season we’re in and this unusual season of life, and window-shopped some very cool pieces. I hope next month’s roundup feels a little more hopeful, and still includes fun outfits.

What I posted:

Four more weeks of outfit posts!

Wednesday’s posts were about transitioning from winter to spring, and sartorial responses to the current crisis.

Fridays in March found us browsing at Marine Layer, Anthropologie, and Farm Rio.

Favorite Outfits:

  • March 3: I felt like I never really styled this scarf in a way that really took advantage of its potential, until this look. I cracked it, and just felt so good that whole day in the outfit.

  • March 4: This combination had been meandering around my head since I picked up this turtleneck, and it was even more satisfying to wear than I thought it would be.

  • March 8: I enjoyed the mix of textures and just had fun wearing it.

  • March 11: Between all of the elements of this outfit, I just loved it. I love variations of this look as well.

  • March 16: I love a layered look, and this has many of my favorite pieces: the camisole, my favorite jeans, and a trench coat.

  • March 19: One of my favorite pieces (pink sweater), and color combinations (red/pink), and trying a new style (scarf belt), and for my son’s birthday makes for a monthly favorite.

I have my eye on:

  • White trench: I love a good trench, and I love a white jacket, so maybe this will join my closet.

  • White jeans: I keep looking at these, and wow are they tempting. There may or may not be a white jeans comparison post (or maybe a video on social media? Who knows!) in the future.

  • White sneaks: There have been so many outfits that I have wanted these white sneakers for, and I know that number will only go up with the temperature.
