Outfits of the Week: September 14-20
Monday September 14
Silk tee - Anthropologie
Pleated skirt - H&M
Gold floral sneaks - Keds
This outfit was based around the necklace, which was a weekend find from Bella Luna Boutique in Rehoboth. The outfit is simple, but very pretty. I can also think of lots of ways I can do variations of this as well, which will be fun.
Tuesday September 15
Mockneck sweater - Pilcro
Maxi skirt - Hourglass Lilly
Booties - Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn
It finally felt cool enough to wear a sweater, and I took full advantage. I love a cozy sweater with a long skirt. They both feel a little dressy and a little casual at the same time.
Wednesday September 16
Blouse - Little Journeys Chicago
Grey jeans - Target
Sparkle jellies - Stuart Weitsman
Sage trench - Marine Layer
This blouse is another recent find from Bella Luna Boutique. It’s an unusual piece to add to my wardrobe for many reasons: I don’t usually wear navy or purple, and I don’t usually do such a long and flowy silhouette. But I just really liked it, and definitely had fun wearing it. Purple is sneaking into my closet, and everything sage is on my list.
Thursday September 17
Mockneck sweater - Pilcro
Maxi skirt - Veronica M
Purple wrap belt - Ada Collection
Booties - Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn
Sorry that I’m not sorry that I can’t and won’t stop wearing this sweater or outfit type. I’ve had this skirt for seven years, and I just love it. It’s incredibly comfortable, but looks great. I love bringing out the subtle purple in the skirt with the purple belt. The necklace is also in all of the colors of the skirt. It doesn’t work very well with the mock neck, but I don’t care.
Friday September 18
Mockneck sweater - Pilcro
Dress - Maeve
Black flats - Rothy’s
Belt - Old Navy
An orange sweater was on my shopping list because of the potential for this outfit (and other outfits). I love the way the shapes work together, with the help of a belt. Tall boots or tights would make this work in colder weather as well.
Saturday September 19
Chunky sweater - J. Crew
Ecru jeans - Old Navy
White sneaks - Keds
Felt like wearing all light shades for no particular reason. I like the gradient effect.
Sunday September 20
Blue sweater - Banana Republic
Black jeans - Citizens of Humanity
White booties - Target
This outfit is basically the same as yesterday’s, but totally different color scheme. This sweater is, in a way, not as versatile as I would’ve liked, but that’s partially because I don’t have great white jeans or pants I can pair it with. Even so, it’s incredibly comfortable and I love the blues, so even if I only wear it with black pants, that’s fine. Not sure if these jeans will stay in my closet, though. I’m going through a weird phase with black jeans, and none of the ones I have are really right for me. They’re too big, or too small, or too long, or just off. So out they go.
