Outfits of the Week: October 12-17
Monday October 12
Sweater - Pilcro
Jeans - Madewell
Booties - Free People
Scarf - vintage
Cape - Comptoir de Cottonier
It was a gloomy, chilly day, and I knew I wanted to wear this sweater because it’s bright and warm, but not too heavy. I picked this scarf to go with it, then the jeans because they go with the blue and are very comfy. I thought these booties toned well with the neutrals in the scarf. The cape was a practical but whimsical choice for errands on a rainy afternoon. This sweater is not the best with fitted layers, so the cape was comfortable and nice protection from the drizzle.
Tuesday October 13
Terrazzo blouse - Target
Grey cords - J. Crew
Camel trench - Target
Black flats - Rothy’s
I felt like wearing neutrals in a fun way, so I went with this blouse. I love the camel and grey with it.
Wednesday October 14
Pleated floral blouse - Target
Wide belt - J. Crew
Blue jeans - Madewell
Yellow suede jacket - Blank
Black flats - Rothy’s
My favorite blouse is back in rotation! I love the possibilities of this top, and this is one of my favorite combinations. This jacket is also a favorite of mine. Actually, this entire outfit is made of some of my favorite pieces.
Thursday October 15
Terrazzo tank - Target
Grey jeans - Target
Sweater blazer - Moth
White sneaks - Keds
It’s been a while since I did a “then I put on sweatpants!” feature. I love a sweater blazer because they’re cozy but look presentable. Even in the sweatpants, it’s a pretty solid look!
Friday October 16
Striped sweater - Gap
Black jeans - Madewell
Scarf - Anthropologie
Chelsea boots - Fluevog
I checked my outfit archives, and I last wore this sweater/scarf combination (actually the same outfit, just swapped black jeans in for blue) on February 22nd. It feels like longer ago than it should, for obvious reasons. I wore it today to be cozy and bright on a gloomy day, while still practical (black jeans and boots in the rain).
Saturday October 17
Red sweater - Aerie
Blue jeans - Madewell
Combat boots - Fluevog
Stripe scarf - MoMA
Today required much time spent driving and then outside, so I wore my comfiest jeans (for the drive), impermeable shoes (for potential mud), and a cozy sweater with a thick scarf (for the cold). My outfit also coordinated with my son’s; he wore red pants and a white tee with a rainbow stripe square on it.
