Outfits of the Week: May 26-31
Tuesday May 26
Pink sweater - American Eagle
Leggings - Aerie
Floral sneaks - allblack
When I take a chill day, outfit-wise, I do like to have some brightness going on, hence this sweater. This sweater is a nice transitional piece because it feels warm when the air is a bit chilly, but fairly light and open for when it warms up a bit. I also like how it looks with my shiny nails!
Wednesday May 27
Blue terrazzo blouse - Target
Blue jeans - Madewell
Sweater blazer - Moth
Flax flats - Rothy’s
I felt like wearing this blouse with jeans for a cute but casual look. The jeans go with the dark blue in the top so well. I wore the blazer as a layer in the morning, when it was cooler. I should’ve switched to a denim jacket for the afternoon, as I got a little sunburn on my shoulders.
Thursday May 28
Tie-dye tee - urban outfitters
White pants - Wayf
Sparkle jellies - Stuart Weitzman
A hot day called for some light-colored and -weight day pants. These pants are so loose and drape well, which makes them comfortable in hot weather. The perfectly-fitted waistband makes them more flattering. I’ve had this tee for eight years, so it’s funny to wear again as tie-dye is trendy. The sparkle jellies are somewhat subtle, but add a little something and go well with the other colors.
Friday May 29
Red floral shirt - O’Neill
Jean shorts - Madewell
White denim jacket - Pilcro
Bird dress - gift from a friend
For a day at the beach, I went for comfy shorts, a fun shirt, and a denim jacket. The shorts are the same as my favorite Danny wash jeans from madewell, but cut off! I was very happy to add these to my summer wardrobe. This red shirt is a favorite from a few years ago. It tucks and ties nicely and has great colors. The white denim jacket helped protect me from the wind and sun, though I still got some burns.
The dress is a gift from a friend. I tried it on, and decided to keep it on for dinner! Also, for anyone who ever wonders why I don’t go tanning, just look at my feet!
Saturday May 30
Pajama shirt - Target
Green shorts - Gap
It was a lazy day and I only half made it out of my pajamas. But that’s what I love about sets like these: they look like casual shirts when paired with shorts or jeans! I usually pair these shorts with a belt, but didn’t feel like it.
Sunday May 31
White tee - Target
Harem pants - Soho Chick
Yellow denim jacket - Pilcro
White sneaks - Keds
I started switching my closet to my hot weather options, so I decided to wear these fun pants for the first time this year! I almost got rid of them for some reason, but am so glad I didn’t. I prefer wearing them with sandals, but chose sneakers to cover my sunburns for a walk. The yellow jean jacket has been in my closet for seven years, and I love it so much.
