A basic start to a strange week. I like a comfy sweater with sweats because it comes across as intentional rather than completely lazy, while actually being completely lazy. This sweater has somewhat wide cuffs so I always end up rolling it to bring them in. 

Tuesday March 17

My ode to Saint Patrick’s Day comes in the form of this bomber jacket. I wanted to wear a scarf to add some style, and then I went with a simple black tee for comfort. The navy sweats are in one of my favorite shades of blue (a bright navy that can’t possibly be confused with black), and I like how it contrasts with black and the olive. (Special guest: Izzy the cat!)

Wednesday March 18

A simple but colorful outfit. This sweater always cheers me up. 

Thursday March 19

• Pink sweater - American Eagle

• Scarf as belt - vintage 

• Black flats - Rothy’s

For my son’s fifth birthday, I wanted to wear his favorite color: pink! He wore pink pants and a grey shirt, so I flipped it. I added the scarf to tie the look together (ha!), add some pattern and color, and try out this styling technique.

Friday March 20

The first day of spring was beautiful in Delaware, and I relished being able to wear a sundress. I got this striped number on super sale ($10!) at Anthro, and I love its simplicity. In the future I might switch it up with a different belt and bright shoes, but easy was nice. I picked nude sandals because of the buttons (plus my white sandals are still in storage - a project for next week!). I like the circle bag with it to counter the stripes and reference the buttons, plus it’s cute. 

Saturday March 21

A day spent cleaning and organizing, while productive, was not something I felt like taking a picture for. 

Sunday March 22

• White turtleneck - Amazon

• Pink cords - J. Crew

• Gold floral sneaks - Keds

• Scarf - Target

I felt like getting a little dressed up today. There are hints of pink in the scarf, which I like with the pants. The gold sneakers work with the metallic detail in the scarf as well. Simple but fun and comforting.
