Outfits of the Week: June 1-13

Monday June 1

  • Balloon blouse - Eva Franco

  • Pink jeans - Old Navy

  • Yellow belt - vintage

  • Sage trench - Marine Layer

  • Yellow flats - Rothy’s

I was feeling light and bright, so I did this fun blouse with pieces in the colors from the print. I love the belt and the shoes together, and the pink with the sage.

Tuesday June 2

  • Wrap blouse - Zara

  • Orange pants - J. Crew

  • Trench - Aryn K

  • Black flats - Rothy’s

This blouse looks great with black and white, but I especially like to pair it with orange and neutral. I used to try to wrap the blouse into the belt loops or make them meet more perfectly, but it just doesn’t really work on a comfort or function level, which is fine!

Wednesday June 3

  • Pen and ink blouse - ethereal by crane

  • Black shirts - Target

  • Black pants - Elan

Pen and ink prints, like in this blouse, are so lovely. I really only wear this with black bottoms. I did the shorts at first because it was hot, but I’m not sure it I actually like the proportions together, so I switched to longer pants.

Thursday June 4

  • Polka dot jumpsuit - Old Navy

  • Orange belt - H&M

  • Orange jacket - Cartonnier

  • Polka dot sneaks - Madewell x Veja

Polka dots and orange? This outfit encapsulates me in this season of life. I added the orange belt to the jumpsuit to add visual separation (and now I know that I would like a slightly wider orange belt to replace this old [like 8 years] h&m belt) and the color. I especially love that the dots of the jumpsuit and shoes are reversed in color, but the same in proportion.

Friday June 5

  • Black crop tee - Target

  • Polka dot slip skirt - Maeve

  • Black ankle strap sandals - Franco Sarto

  • White denim jacket - Pilcro

Another of my favorite polka dot looks.

Saturday June 6

  • White shirt - Madewell

  • White pants - Wayf

  • Bikini - Aerie

  • Crop top - amuse society

This was my look for a beach day, because I apparently want to go to the Hamptons. These pants might be a little polarizing looks-wise, but wow they are so comfortable, especially for hot weather. After the beach, I changed to this fun crop top.

Sunday June 7

  • Polka dot jumpsuit - Old Navy

  • Orange belt - H&M

  • Orange jacket - Cartonnier

  • Polka dot sneaks - Madewell x Veja

Couldn’t resist! Usually I don’t repeat so soon, but whatever, I wanted to.

Monday June 8

  • Blue striped shirt - Target

  • Blue jean shorts - Madewell

This was a “get into real clothes real quick to eat dinner al fresco in our yard” look, and I’m not mad at it.

Tuesday June 9

  • Red cami - J. Crew

  • Maxi skirt - Farm Rio

  • White denim jacket - Pilcro

  • Yellow flats - Rothy’s

  • Hat - Hinge

It was a very hot day, but this skirt was cool and comfortable. The hat was practical for sun protection, but also cute and references the polka dots in the skirt. I also wore a bird ring because I love a theme and of course I have one.

Thursday June 11

  • White shirt - J. Crew

  • Skirt - Emily & Finn

  • Yellow flats - Rothy’s

  • Green purse - gift

Easy in color for a warm day of errands.

Friday June 12

  • Butterfly tee - Urban Outfitters

  • Green pants - American Eagle

  • Sneaks - Converse

  • White tee - Target

  • Orange tulip skirt - Target

  • Polka dot sneaks - Madewell x Veja

I wore the first outfit for errands and house stuff, then changed to the sporty look for dinner.

Saturday June 13

  • Paisley shirt - Fred

  • Denim shorts - Madewell

  • Beige sandals - Franco Sarto

Another beach look for a bright but windy day. My dad gave this shirt to my husband, and I stole it from him. I like to tie or tuck an oversized shirt, and it’s cute with the shorts.
