A statement dress makes for an easy outfit, especially nice for a hot day! This fabric has a really nice flow so it’s fun to go down stairs in.
Tuesday August 11

Rain slicker - J. Crew
I felt like being a little fun and a little sporty, so I paired this skirt with a workout shirt and my tevas. The colors are summery, and the shirt was great for a hot but wet day.
Wednesday August 12

I stole this shirt from my husband’s closet because it’s my favorite, and wore it for a hot day. My plan was to wear it to the beach with white bikini bottoms, but we didn’t do that because of the weather, so the shorts stayed as they were.

This is the third way I’ve styled this shirt (previously with green shorts, and a beige pleated skirt), which makes me feel really good about this purchase. I liked it tied up or half-tucked.
Friday August 14

It was a casual day getting some stuff done, so I picked one of my favorite summery tees to go with shorts. I think I prefer it with my denim shorts, or more casual black shorts (added to my shopping list!).
Saturday August 15

For a quick trip to the store, I threw on some fun pants with a tee so it looked like I put in effort, but I didn’t! I love fun pants for this reason.

I wore this outfit for a walk because I wanted to be stylish, but also comfortable for a walk with possibly rainy weather.
Sunday August 16
Striped dress - Target

Red sandals - J. Crew
It was significantly cooler and I was staying in, so I wore a slightly layered outfit. I am so excited for cooler weather. And another outfit that goes with my rain slicker!
