Friday Finds: Sézane

Sézane is a French brand about delivering luxury quality pieces at accessible price. It’s difficult for me to say if they achieve that goal because I haven’t seen any of their items in person and some of their prices feel high, but it depends on what they’re compared to.

From what I’ve read, the quality is there, which means that the pieces should last for years. And the style is pretty evident from just a quick browse. It seems to be working, as a lot of their pieces are almost totally sold out (and hopefully are still available, since I’m writing this post a couple weeks in advance, as it turns out).

Their styling is some of the best I’ve seen. They do a great job at showing their pieces together. I don’t usually feel drawn to complete looks because I like to style things myself and envision clothes as the potential completion to the puzzle that is my closet. However, Sézane’s looks are almost completely gorgeous and up my alley while being very different from what I own.

They are similar to Everlane and Diarrablu in that they also aim to be very sustainable, and they are remarkably (for the fashion industry) transparent about how they create their clothes.

Je ne sais quoi for all.”

What a charming motto.

Tops

  1. Yvan Jumper: You’re right, it is weird to look at sweaters right now. But I like this one anyway! Pointelle sweaters don’t usually appeal to me, but the touches of color are lovely and the heather knit is sublime.

  2. Gaspard Jumper: I don’t really do cardigans, myself. But the texture of this one is just gorgeous. I like this color especially, though there are many nice options.

  3. Wood Top: This top is just too cute! There aren’t a lot of pictures of it so it’s difficult to see what it’s fully like, but I bet it would be great with a simple white skirt or even a solid color in a similar mood, like a nice salmon?

  4. Andres Blouse: This is not my favorite silhouette, though it has potential. The print is really where it’s at. It would be an interesting almost monochromatic look with blue jeans, or really standout with white, sage or pink.

  5. Thésé Blouse: Another one where the silhouette isn’t the main appeal, it’s the print. Though I do like the front lace detail, especially since it's the same fabric (or at least print).

  6. Ann Shirt: A beautiful white shirt with a subtle polka dot. Love! Also comes in many other colors/prints.

  7. Pierro Shirt: This shirt had so many gorgeous options, I had to show three of them. The second might be almost completely sold out (woe is me), but I love how they styled it.

Bottoms

  1. Fabrizio Short: These shorts are expensive but dang do they look cool. I love that they show it with a graphic tee that tones so well.

  2. Romeo Short: Similar to the above shorts, but in solids. This color is striking, but all of the options are great.

  3. Dino Skirt: Love a pleated skirt! I love that this one is with this thick lace. It might still be available in other colors as well.

  4. Armando Trousers: These pants call to me. Especially ochre. I mean. Wow. The exaggerated waist details, the pleats, the texture.

  5. Manhattan Jumpsuit: I like how this jumpsuit looks in this color. I don’t think it looks quite as good in the other colors.

Dresses

  1. Allie Dress: Pretty, simple, great for summer.

  2. Amber Dress: Love an easy wrap dress in a great print. Bright pink lip (or mask), woven bag, tan sandals, done.

  3. Jeanne Dress: I love a shirtdress, especially in such a bold print! It’s quite striking while being very classic.

Jackets

  1. Alie Jacket: This jacket looks so cool and is styled so well. The colors are great and the quilted affect is stunning.

  2. Elaia Jacket: This jacket with the Armando trousers would be the cooooolest suit that’s not really a suit. Also great on its own with so many pieces already in my closet. Comes in other colors, very cool piece that would be easy to wear.

  3. Mic Jacket: This jacket looks like it’s the best kind of cropped. Simple, but very effective.

  4. Zig Jacket: I’m on the lookout for a black leather jacket, and wow this one is a beauty.

  5. Capucine Sweat: I love this for an elevated sweatshirt. Cute with athleisure, or a casual look that’s not leggings.

Accessories

  1. Lara Belt: This belt is gorgeous and looks like it could somehow be really cool with pants.

  2. Paloma Belt: How unusual! Such a gorgeous belted look.

  3. Jack Sneakers: Do love a great pair of sneaks? Yes. And metallics are such fun neutrals.

  4. Simon Sneakers: I am also partial to this slightly higher version in this neutral.

  5. Jack Sneakers Eyelet: I love that all they did for this was make the eyelets more obvious and add extra wide laces. Such an easy change, but it looks so different and so cute!

  6. Low Ilda Espadrilles: These look like really great sandals for summer. Light and black neutral to go with basically everything.
