Friday Finds: Old Navy

This week, I browsed another of the Gap brands: Old Navy! It’s been a mall staple since my childhood, and while it looks quite cute, it can be hit or miss. There are a few Old Navy pieces in my wardrobe that are solid favorites, and there are many that were returned. If you can find the fits and styles that work for you, it is a good place to look for some basics and fun prints in easy silhouettes. The trial and error can pay off. They offer frequent sales, and I frequently look here for clothes for my five year old, and printed shirts for my husband.

Tops & Dresses

  1. Linen-Blend Utility Short-Sleeve Shirt: A linen shirt is a staple for summer: tucked into shorts, tied over a skirt or dress, worn open over a swimsuit at the beach. I like the three colors they have available, but the ecru is my top pick.

  2. Cropped French Terry Short-Sleeve Sweatshirt: A little funky, but a fun kind of piece for warm weather. Cute with shorts, a nice layer for a chill evening. The print is fun, but the solid colors are nice too.

  3. Fit & Flare Maxi Sundress: A simple maxi dress is an easy look for warm weather. Great with a jean jacket, can be belted, or worn as a skirt with a blouse over it. The black is the most versatile option, but I love the leopard print too (especially with a bright belt and sandals!).

  4. Square-Neck Cami Jumpsuit: I love the cut of the top (square necks are more covered but still look fresh without being dowdy), and the flowy legs would be comfortable. Plus you can’t beat polka dots!

Bottoms

  1. Mid-Rise Everyday Printed Linen-Blend Shorts: I love a printed short for summer! These would be cute with a white tee and a jean jacket, or the linen top linked above in olive.

  2. Mid-Rise Boyfriend Straight Jeans: I have similar pink jeans from Old Navy, and the fun color with the casual silhouette is a nice mix. Looks good with a white top as shown, or to accent a printed top.

  3. High-Waisted Power Slim Straight Black Jeans: I have the power jeans in pink and ecru, and I love them. The fits seem to vary from wash to wash, but it would be nice if the black worked.

  4. Extra High-Waisted Boyfriend Straight Jeans: Cream jeans for summer! Softer than white, still super fresh.

Jackets

  1. Soft Utility Jacket: A comfortable jacket in a color that accents your wardrobe is a staple. The color options are all great, though the arugula and Amelia rose stand out the most to me.

  2. Linen-Blend Blazer: A linen blazer is an easy layer for warm weather. The light color ways are nice.

  3. Jean Jacket: A classic! Old Navy has many washes available.

  4. Water-Resistant Trench Coat: This trench is resists water, and I can’t resist a good trench! They’re a great spring layer for iffy weather, whether it’s windy or rainy.

Usually I’m able to use website images to show the clothes within this post, but I was not able to do so with Old Navy. Oh well! I’m not that savvy, but regular links still work. Happy clicking!
