Friday Finds: Farm Rio

I picked Farm Rio for this week’s Friday Finds because it is a brand that I love following and find very cheerful. I know I need that right now, and maybe you also could use a post that features some clothes that are just gorgeous, fun and unusual. I don’t have any personal insights into how this brand is in terms of sizing or quality as I do not own any of their pieces (yet…), but I have been following them for a while (both from their site directly, and via Anthropologie, as seen in last Friday’s post).

Tops

  1. Blue Tile Shirt - I love blue and white prints (they remind me of my late grandmother), and this has beautiful details and a rich mix of colors. It would really dress up a pair of blue jeans, and would look amazing with white.

  2. Military Forest Blouse - This funky print is toned down nicely because of its more subtle color palette. It would look great worn casually with white, or more formally in a black suit.

  3. Black Borogodo Blouse - This blouse is just beautiful. It’s dark, but still has bold colors.

  4. Multi Banana Blouse - The sleeves, wrap front, and open back of this blouse are so fun, and that fun factor is multiplied by the print. It looks striped and spotted, but it’s actually banana’d!

  5. Black Banana Craze Crop Top - A very simple top with a more formal take on bananas (which is a sentence I never thought I would say). I love the detail in the leaves, and the greens and yellows against the stark black.

Bottoms

  1. Blue Tile Pants - The matching pants for the first top above! It might be too much together, but I love a printed wide-leg pant with a basic top and jacket.

  2. Pale Leaf Velour Pants - Leaf prints are still popular, and this take is gorgeous. The colors pop but are actually a little muted, which makes them feel more wearable.

  3. Pink Giraffe Cuffed Pants - I just love these silly pants. I love them! How much fun would they be to wear? The most fun.

  4. Nanaju Floral Shorts - These shorts are so cute. Add a white tee or blouse and some red lipstick, and you’re set. But there really is so much more you could do with this print.

  5. Rainbow Banana Shorts - This banana print is so fun! I love the pink and green. So summery.

  6. Multi Banana Midi Skirt - This skirt matches the fourth above top. Wrap skirts are so easy to wear, and these colors are so lovely.

  7. Pink Pietra Midi Skirt - Cerise and fuchsia are one of my favorite color combinations, so how could I resist them in a midi skirt?

Dresses

  1. White Azalea Wrap Dress - This dress is SO lovely. I love this Azalea print (which they have in many other pieces as well), but this is my favorite. Mostly yellow, there’s a little bit of black and a little bit of turquoise that really pop.

  2. White Nanaju Maxi Dress - The image above does not do this dress justice. Polka dots, floral, bananas. I love the deep V and the draping.

  3. Thalita Stripe Maxi Dress - The mix of stripes and colors in this dress is striking. Bang, boom, done.

  4. Caramel Banana Polka Dress - I’ve been looking at this dress for a while because it’s just so cute! The silhouette might be a little off, but I love the idea just the same.

  5. Graphic Heart Slip Dress - More great bright colors in a classic silhouette.

  6. Julia Stripe Slip Dress - This has been one of my favorite prints of theirs recently because of the bright colors and chevron design. I also like how the slit in this dress breaks up the pattern.

  7. Rainbow Fauna Midi Slip Dress - This print has so many gorgeous colors. Could be styled, but not really needed.

  8. Golden Leaves Velvet Dress - I love these fun neutrals in a leaf print. This would layer nicely over a turtleneck or under a sweater, with tights.

  9. Preta Banana Linen Mini Dress - These vivid colors are so striking that I got distracted looking at them and almost posted “vidid.”

  10. Black Banana Craze Linen Mini Dress - An above banana print again, in a cute little dress!

  11. Crazy Tucanos Linen Dress - Birds and bananas! Add sandals, a bright belt and a white jean jacket, and you’re set.

Other

  1. Preta Banana Linen Blazer - And in a blazer! A bright blazer like this with all black, or with bright pants. Or over a bright dress. Or with all white. Striking.

  2. Pale Leaf Velour Blazer - Make it a suit! I love this over a black dress, or with black pants and a bra top.

  3. Boboikat Jumpsuit - Farm Rio usually have a lot of great jumpsuits, and I thought this one was gorgeous. The colors are a bit softer. It would look great with a classic blue jean jacket, or worn alone, spring or summer.

  4. Dot Mix Havaianas - These match the peplum top and skirt that I’ve been looking at at Anthro! Havaianas are such wonderful flip flops, too, and these are just great.
