Friday Finds: Banana Republic

Last week, I saw an ad in my Instagram feed and thought, “that looks pretty cool!” and it was Banana Republic. I hadn’t browsed their online selection in a while, so have I been sleeping on them? I found a lot of cool pieces with great style potential, and I have a feeling I will be revisiting them soon.

There are many more things available, and I am biased by my own preferences. I could have found more, but I could only take so much temptation.

Tops

  1. Linen-Cotton Cropped Shell - A simple and square top for summer weather.

  2. Cropped Button-Back Top - Similar to above, in a different fabric that’s supposedly breathable and eco-friendly. It comes in some nice neutrals, but I am admittedly drawn to the neon yellow.

  3. Pleated Top - Love this simple pleated top in coral. The bubble hem is fun (and what a ‘00s thowback), and cute with high waist bottoms.

  4. Cotton Peasant Top - A peasant top that’s quite simple. I like the neckline and length of sleeve.

  5. Camp-Collar Blouse - I am always on the lookout for a good camp shirt.

  6. Boxy Safari Shirt - These safari shirts are pretty simple, and come in nice colors.

  7. Soft Satin Wrap-Effect Top - The colors this comes in are gorgeous, especially for fall. I am especially drawn to the olive and the cream, but they’re all lovely.

  8. Sandwash Modal Ruched Top - This is an updated take on a plain tee. I love the shape with the neckline and ruched shoulders.

  9. Slim Stripe Tee - A striped tee is great for adding interest to a basic look. This version is especially nice because of the twisted stripe neckline.

  10. Ribbed Mock-Neck Sweater - A nice basic sweater in great colors.

  11. Marled Mock-Neck Sweater - This sweater in blue (which features cobalt, turquoise, white and black threads) caught my attention in store recently and may or may not be making an appearance in Monday’s post. The natural is also a lovely neutral option.

  12. Ribbed Turtleneck Sweater - This sweater in citron may or may not also be making an appearance next week. I am temped by the black, ivory and charcoal as well.

Other

  1. Soft Satin Pleated Midi Skirt - Pleated midi skirts are an addiction of mine, and I can’t help myself because when they’re good, they are so comfortable and flattering. This nutmeg color looks striking, and would be especially appropriate for fall.

  2. Snake Printed Pleated Midi Skirt - Snake prints are some of my favorites because they have texture, and can have so many colors in them. This take looks like it would go well with pinks, warm neutrals, and possibly even green.

  3. Polka Dot Pleated Midi Skirt - The mix of polka dots is so fun. This skirt would look great with a black sweater and boots, or a bold tee and sandals.

  4. Madison 12-Hour Pump - A classic pump with good reviews that also comes in a variety of colors, including different nudes. The black, white, Sonoran beige, and red are calling for spots in my closet.
