Outfits of the Week: February 10-16
Monday February 10
Floral blouse - Target
Pink cords - J. Crew
Taupe sweater - alpaca international
Studded booties - free people
On dismal days, I like to wear color. These pants tone with the floral blouse, and neutral sweater and shoes to add texture (as well as coziness).
Tuesday February 11
Blue sweater - h&m
Polka dot jeans - J. Crew
White booties - Target
Abstract scarf - Target
I wanted to switch my sweater game up a little bit so I picked this blue sweater that’s much lighter, but still comfortable. It goes well with this fun scarf. I could’ve work solid grey jeans, but I liked the polka dots with the scarf. These booties are decent in wet weather, though I’d also like this look with white sneakers (on my spring/summer shopping list!). In warmer weather, I’d add my yellow jean jacket, but it’s still chilly and wet so it was the puffer again.
Wednesday February 12
Black sweater - J. Crew
Black moto leggings - BCBG
Black flats - Rothy’s
I wanted an all black look to be the background for my lipstick post. This sweater is warm without being heavy or chunky. I hadn’t worn these leggings in a few years, and they were a fun choice.
Thursday February 13
Pink sweater - American Eagle
Jellyfish skirt - re:named
Yellow flats - Rothy’s
Rain slicker - J. Crew
This was my casual homage to Valentine’s Day being celebrated at my son’s school a day early. It was fun to be so bright on another dreary day. The jellyfish skirt has a lot of colors, and goes well with the pink sweater, and the mint/yellow combo of the slicker. I added a little green heart pin to my sweater (made out of a zipper!). The pièce de résistance was the fish purse (acquired when I was in middle school, and always a hit with the preschool crowd).
Friday February 14
Striped sweater - Target
Leggings - Target
Floral sneaks - all black
I had a cozy day with my little Valentine, so I wanted to be appropriate for a cold day, but still comfortable for snuggling.
Saturday February 15
Yellow sweater - bp
Pleated pants - Dolan coast
Long jacket - babette
Boots - Via Spiga
Beret - Paris
Silk scarf - Target
Wrap belt - Ada belt
Another cold day with a fun dinner called for cozy layers. I love this scarf with these pants. Even though this combination features looser silhouettes, the drape alludes to shape as does the belt, so I’m not completely overwhelmed. To me, this feels like a modern homage to a ‘20s look.
Sunday February 16
Terrazzo blouse - Target
Cream jeans - AG
Taupe sweater - alpaca international
Flax flats - Rothy’s
At almost the end of a long weekend, I just felt like being neutral and cozy, so I broke out this blouse and cuddled into this sweater.
