Outfits of the Week: February 17-23

Monday February 17

  • Yellow shirt - joylab

  • Hoodie - joylab

  • Leggings - aerie

  • Sneaks - nike

Some days, Mondays more often than not, life happens and I don’t leave my gym gear slash comfiest. It helps that I feel super cool in this look.

Tuesday February 18

  • White cami - Target

  • Pencil skirt - Target

  • Trench - Aryn K

  • Scarf - belle boutique

  • Black wrap belt - ada belt

  • Black flats - Rothy’s

The weather is starting to get warmer, slowly but surely, and I could get away with this outfit! This formula (top + skirt + trench) is a go-to for me. I love the versatility of this skirt. To dress this up, I’d do heels instead of flats, and a necklace instead of the scarf.

Wednesday February 19

  • Yellow turtleneck - Banana Republic

  • Cream jeans - AG

  • Offwhite moto jacket - Lysse

  • Nude d’orsay pumps - ferragamo

I used to only wear neons with black or other neons, but I love bright colors with soft neutrals. The jacket, jeans and shoes are all warm neutrals that tone well together. Then the turtleneck gets to be the start of the show. Plus it’s comfy.

Thursday February 20

  • Blue marled sweater - Banana Republic

  • Black jeans - madewell

  • Flax flats - Rothy’s

  • Silver puffer - Target

This sweater is comfortable and warm without being too heavy. I went with black jeans today for a sleek look, though I look forward to pairing this sweater with white jeans. The silver puffer came into play because it wasn’t quite as cold today, and I wanted something brighter. This ring happened to go perfectly with the sweater, which I love because it was my Nana’s. Overall, I felt like an off-duty Star Fleet officer.

Friday February 21

  • Cream sweater - Ralph Lauren

  • Maxi skirt - Veronica M.

  • Booties - Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn

  • Shibori scarf - Paris

  • Leather jacket - Michael Michael Kors

This look, almost exactly, is something I used to wear frequently 6-7 years ago. I love how this scarf (which has been in my closet for almost 8 years) complements the skirt without matching or feeling too repetitive. I also love the skirt because it’s comfortable, flattering, and the print manages to be a mix of stripes, chevron and abstract. The leather jacket is a basic but warm topper with some added texture. The weather today reverted back to being pretty chilly, so I have a tank top and tights layered underneath (following my own tips!). I happened to have these pi socks that went perfectly with the rest of the color scheme of the outfit, so that was a fun detail that mostly went unseen.

Saturday February 22

  • Striped sweater - Gap

  • Blue jeans - madewell

  • Floral scarf - Anthro

  • Black Chelsea boots - Fluevog

This sweater is cozy and fun. I wanted to wear these jeans to be comfortable, so I added this floral scarf that tones with the colors of the sweater as well as blue jeans. Black booties were comfortable and casual, as well as referencing the black background of the scarf.

Sunday February 23

  • Black bralette - Target

  • Black layered top - Alice + Olivia

  • Black blazer - Cartonnier

  • Black pants - J. Crew

  • Black flats - Rothy’s

This was a little out there and, I’ll admit, felt a little funny to wear out in public on purpose. We saw a production of Noises Off, which features a character who ends up entirely in lingerie/her underwear (producer’s choice), so this was an homage to that. I added a blouse for dinner.
