Friday Finds: Modcloth

Online or in person, shopping can be overwhelming. This week, I browsed Modcloth’s website. Modcloth has retro- or vintage-inspired clothing, in a wide range of sizes, in basics and quirky prints. Also their clothing names are quite punny.

There are many more things available, and I am biased by my own preferences. I could have found more, but I could only take so much temptation.

Tops

  1. Adorable Around the Edges Collared Top - A basic blouse with a cute neckline. I particularly like the green, red, and black versions.

  2. Fancied Flair Cap Sleeve Blouse - The frilly neckline adds interest without being too overdone. The mustard color is lovely, and the gourd print is fun and works with a variety of colors.

  3. Visual Verve Sleeveless Blouse - The buttons of the neckline are a fun detail, and the eggplant purple is very pretty.

  4. Undeniably Inspired Short Sleeve Blouse - It’s hard to go wrong with a basic blouse like this, which can be worn loose, tucked in, or tied up.

  5. Your True Collars Long Sleeve Blouse - I love this unusual collar for a quiet statement.

  6. Undeniably Inspired Collared Blouse - The long-sleeved version of #4, the paisley print is particularly fun because of the color variety.

Bottoms

  1. Uptown to Downtown Pencil Skirt - A good pencil skirt cannot be underestimated.

  2. Just This Sway A Line Skirt - I love this simple skirt because it has a nice cut, a defined waist, and comes in many colors, including some prints.

  3. Pleat Me Later A Line Skirt - Printed skirts are quite versatile if the colors work for you, and pleated skirts have great movement and are comfortable.

  4. Assorted Admirers Buttoned Midi Skirt - This skirt is on the more casual side, but still appropriate for some work environments, with lovely pleats at the top.

  5. On My Way A Line Skirt - This a-line skirt includes a matching but removable belt, and comes in a few prints.

  6. Start From Here Cropped Pants - I love a cropped trouser, and of course a polka dot pant.

Dresses

  1. Say Yes to Timeless Wrap Dress - There’s not much better than a classic wrap dress.

  2. Modcloth x Collectif Cherished Era Shirt Dress - Shirt dresses are also a classic.

  3. Smooth Sailing Belted Sundress - This funky print has unusual colors. I can see it with a cute cropped jacket or cardigan.

  4. Morning Meadow Shift Dress - A shift dress can be comfortable and flattering, with a flowy yet draped silhouette. A fun print adds interest and colors to bring out, like the white and orange tones.

  5. Aiming Higher Cropped Jumpsuit - This jumpsuit has nice darts, pleats, and a tie waist. If you can get the right fit, a jumpsuit like this is a staple.

  6. Bold Notion Tie Waist Jumpsuit - And a jumpsuit in a print! Foxes are special to me for a few reasons, so I find this piece difficult to resist. There are other fun prints as well.
