It’s spring! Or it will be soon enough. After more cold and snow than we felt last winter, it actually feels like it’ll be over before we know it. I love spring, so I am very excited. I’m looking forward to wearing jackets and open-toed shoes.

Show some skin!

In mini skirts, shorts, and open back pieces. Isn’t that always a trend, come slightly warm weather? It seems especially apt to try to simulate the rise of the economy by raising hemlines as well. Shorts are more of a summer piece for me. I definitely want a pair of printed shorts. Open back tops and dresses are visually striking, but can be difficult to wear.

Statement/wide Pants

The statement can be in a print or in the silhouette. It’s fun to play around with different shapes, and we know I love a printed pant!

Bold Prints

Yes, that means florals for spring. Prints usually feel celebratory, and make it easier to wear lots of funky colors together. Can’t recommend more.

Slim Silhouettes

Fitted and stretchy clothes can be easy and sexy, but can also take getting used to. There’s definitely a lightness to them that feels appropriate for a spring awakening. And they make a good complement to slouchy layers!

Last Spring’s Shopping List 

What I Got

Cashmere sweaters: There are a few colors I’d like to get, but I’m good. I’m good. I’ll keep telling myself that to make it true.

What I Need

White jeans: Going to try these from Everlane!

Blue denim jacket: Tried one that didn’t work. I want to see how this season’s version from Pilcro is looking, might look on poshmark for an old one.

Black booties: Still searching, but most likely waiting for in-store try ons.

Pumps and silver shoes: LOL pumps? I mean maybe. A good black pair, maybe a bright. Would love to find silver sandals for spring/summer.

Basic blouses: I feel like between camis and cashmere sweaters, I have a lot of my basic colors covered. I would like to find some short sleeved basic tops in my favorite colors.

And here are a few pieces I’m adding to the list.

A casual wrap dress: I have some lovely dressy wrap dresses, but they’re difficult to wear on a day to day basis. I’m looking for a print or color that strikes my fancy. A wrap skirt might fit the bill as well.

Flip flops: I love havaianas flip flops, and am in desperate need of a new pair of flips. Basic black, maybe white, considering a neon. Go figure!

Printed shorts: I’m starting the search! Again looking for something to strike my fancy.
