Friday Finds: Zara

I have been holding back on buying more clothes for summer because I have yet to really sort through my existing summer wardrobe. However, now that I know that I’ll be doing that sort next week, I am browsing around a lot to find pieces to fill the holes that I anticipate finding or making in my closet.

I was browsing Zara the other night, and was tempted by these 12 pieces in particular.

Pleats & Polka Dots

  1. Pleated Dress: This reminds me of the Atonement Dress (if you google “atonement dress” you’ll see what I mean), if it was wearable on a regular basis. I guess really it’s just the color, and the fact that it’s a dress.

  2. Pleated Top: Dramatic, to say the least! The tie across the shoulders helps control how wide the V neck is.

  3. Pleated Wide Leg Pants: Coordinates with the above top. Also great with a black tank and sandals.

  4. Polka Dot Print Capri Pants: I’ve been looking for capris, and then I find these in polka dot?! I see you, universe-acting-through-Zara.

  5. Polka Dot Print Short Jumpsuit: Such a cute piece. Could look a bit dressier with fancy sandals and jewelry, or more casual with flips or sneaks and a denim jacket.

  6. Polka Dot Print Satin Effect Bodysuit: So I’ve never worn a bodysuit. Never even tried one. But I am intrigued by this one! Could be really lovely with a skirt, cute with shorts, or even worn with a suit.

Beyond Basic Tops

  1. Linen Blend Crop Top: A white crop top, but with cool strappy details! Love that it’s a linen blend for hot weather.

  2. Strappy Draped Top: A crop top, with draped fabric in the front, in a lovely camel color. Great with blue denim, natural colors, contrasted with black, or paired with brights (especially lime and yellow).

  3. Linen Wrap Top: A linen top, with a basic front and a breezy back. Would be so comfortable on a day that’s just too hot. The light color would be cool too, and not as see-through as white.

  4. Flowy Crop Top: A black crop tee, in a bloused silhouette, with cute sleeves and back buttons. Gives shoulder protection but not be tight, so more comfortable on hot days.

  5. Cropped Knit Top: A crop top, but is it just a giant tube how does it work why is it like that would it look cool or just be weird I don’t know but it could be awesome and I have so many questions but only question marks here at the end??????

  6. Tied Cropped Shirt: A crop shirt, with cute tie details that just add a little something! I like the very square shape of the shirt itself. A white shirt in the summer is a classic for a reason, and this is a fun version.
